Licensing

MakerVault uses a simple, fair licensing model. Pay once, keep what you have.

MakerVault includes a 7-day free trial with full functionality. No credit card required. Just download and start using it.

A subtle banner shows how many days remain in your trial.

MakerVault is a one-time purchase:

  • $39 early bird (first 200 buyers)
  • $59 standard price

Optional annual updates are $20/year for major version updates (v1.1, v1.2, v2.0). If you stop paying for updates, you keep the version you have — it still works, you just don’t get new features.

  1. Purchase MakerVault to receive your license key (format: MV-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX).
  2. Open MakerVault and go to the activation screen.
  3. Enter your license key and click Activate.
  4. MakerVault validates your key with the license server and stores a signed token locally.

After initial activation (which requires an internet connection), MakerVault works fully offline. The signed license token is stored locally and validated without contacting the server.

Each license can be activated on up to 2 devices. The activation screen shows how many devices are currently using your license.

To move your license to a new device:

  1. Open MakerVault on the old device.
  2. Go to Settings and click Deactivate License.
  3. Activate on the new device.

Your license status is visible in Settings, showing:

  • Email associated with the license
  • Number of devices used / allowed
  • Update subscription expiry date
  • License key

MakerVault follows the same model as LightBurn: if you stop paying for updates, the version you have continues to work indefinitely. You own your copy.
