Licensing
MakerVault uses a simple, fair licensing model. Pay once, keep what you have.
Free trial
Section titled “Free trial”MakerVault includes a 7-day free trial with full functionality. No credit card required. Just download and start using it.
A subtle banner shows how many days remain in your trial.
Purchasing
Section titled “Purchasing”MakerVault is a one-time purchase:
- $39 early bird (first 200 buyers)
- $59 standard price
Optional annual updates are $20/year for major version updates (v1.1, v1.2, v2.0). If you stop paying for updates, you keep the version you have — it still works, you just don’t get new features.
Activating your license
Section titled “Activating your license”- Purchase MakerVault to receive your license key (format:
MV-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX). - Open MakerVault and go to the activation screen.
- Enter your license key and click Activate.
- MakerVault validates your key with the license server and stores a signed token locally.
Offline use
Section titled “Offline use”After initial activation (which requires an internet connection), MakerVault works fully offline. The signed license token is stored locally and validated without contacting the server.
Device limit
Section titled “Device limit”Each license can be activated on up to 2 devices. The activation screen shows how many devices are currently using your license.
To move your license to a new device:
- Open MakerVault on the old device.
- Go to Settings and click Deactivate License.
- Activate on the new device.
License status
Section titled “License status”Your license status is visible in Settings, showing:
- Email associated with the license
- Number of devices used / allowed
- Update subscription expiry date
- License key
Keep what you have
Section titled “Keep what you have”MakerVault follows the same model as LightBurn: if you stop paying for updates, the version you have continues to work indefinitely. You own your copy.
