Opening Files
MakerVault makes it easy to go from finding a file to working with it.
Open in default app
Section titled “Open in default app”Double-click any file in the list to open it in its default application. For example:
.lbrn2files open in LightBurn.svgfiles open in your default SVG editor (Illustrator, Inkscape, etc.).stlfiles open in your slicer
Open with specific app
Section titled “Open with specific app”Right-click a file and select Open With to choose a specific application. This is useful when you have multiple apps that can handle the same file type.
Reveal in Finder
Section titled “Reveal in Finder”Right-click a file and select Reveal in Finder to jump straight to the file’s location on disk. The file is selected in Finder so you can see it immediately.
Copy file path
Section titled “Copy file path”Right-click and select Copy File Path to copy the full absolute path to your clipboard. Useful for pasting into terminal commands or other applications.
Rename a file
Section titled “Rename a file”Right-click a file and select Rename to change its filename. A dialog appears with the current name pre-filled and the filename (without extension) selected for easy editing. MakerVault validates the new name and renames the file on disk.
From preview
Section titled “From preview”The Spacebar preview overlay includes an “Open in [App]” button so you can open the file directly from the preview without closing it first.
