Font Auto-Linking
When your library contains both font files (TTF, OTF) and LightBurn files that use those fonts, MakerVault automatically creates links between them.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”- During scanning, MakerVault extracts font family names from LightBurn text elements.
- After scanning, it matches font filenames against the extracted font names.
- When a match is found, it creates a “uses font” relationship link between the LightBurn file and the font file.
Viewing font links
Section titled “Viewing font links”Font links appear in the Related Files section of the file detail panel:
- On a LightBurn file: Shows “Uses Font: FontName.ttf”
- On a font file: Shows “Used By: MyDesign.lbrn2”
Click any linked file to navigate to it.
Font preview
Section titled “Font preview”Font files (TTF, OTF, WOFF, WOFF2) get their own preview that shows:
- Uppercase alphabet
- Lowercase alphabet
- Numbers
- A pangram (“The quick brown fox…”)
- Sample text at multiple sizes
Extracted font names
Section titled “Extracted font names”The fonts extracted from a LightBurn file are also displayed as chips in the LightBurn metadata panel, so you can see at a glance which fonts a design requires.
